About Dmytro Shavala
Dmytro Shavala is a Ukrainian artist and sculptor who works in the field of decorative art. The principal medium in his works is artistic wood. He is the author of three-dimensional plastic compositions, reliefs, and conceptual art objects reflecting his own vision of the material and a new approach to modeling three-dimensional plastic.
Born in 1994 in the village of Shklo, Yavoriv district, Lviv region, he currently lives and works in Lviv.
Education
2009-2013 – Art Vocational School named after Yosyp Stanko (qualification – wood and birch bark carver, carpenter).
2013-2019 – Lviv National Academy of Arts (Master of Art Wood, teacher).
Lecturer of Artistic Wood at the Lviv National Academy of Arts since 2024.
